In June 1997 Tony Sansum and Sue Aitken took over the Thornbury Garden Shop situated in an unusual and historic courtyard just off the High Street in the bustling market town in South Gloucestershire.
Since then the business has expanded to fill every available inch of space with plants, garden sundries, pet supplies and wild bird food and feeders.
We aim to keep a good selection of seasonal plants in good condition and at a reasonable price. We are limited by our boundary walls but if you can't see what you are looking for please ask and if it is available we will be happy to order it in for you.
Gardening can be a bit of a mystery to some and we try to have staff available who are able to help with any questions you may have. Not that we always know the answers but we will try!
Of the plants we sell many are grown by ourselves and the rest are either hand-picked or purchased from reliable local nurseries. All our hardy stock is kept outside meaning it is used to the variable weather conditions and is usually ready to be planted when purchased.
We also have a selection of houseplants and plant gifts for inside or outside and again we can usually make up planters to order at fairly short notice. Local delivery is available on request.
